What is Mums ‘n’ Bubs?

Our Mums ‘n’ Bubs classes are tailored to both new, and not so new Mums. The classes are a great tool to assist in recovery following a caesarian or vaginal birth. The best part is you can bring your baby along! Each class is different and tailored to each woman’s individual needs and goals. During each class, there is a focus on pelvic floor re-training, mobility and strength work to keep you feeling good and able to enjoy your time with your new bub.

What the benefits of Mums ‘n’ Bubs?

Pilates is a great way for postnatal women to strengthen their body to cope with the demands of caring for a baby. The class offers exercise to assist with:

  • The recovery following caesarian birth or vaginal birth of your baby
  • Musculoskeletal pain including low back, neck, hip, shoulder and other joints
  • Abdominal muscle separation (DRAM)
  • Weak pelvic floor muscles and bladder or bowel disfunction

Who is suitable for the class?

Women of all levels of fitness and experience are welcome. You will be encouraged to work at your own pace and can attend after any number of pregnancies.

Registration form

To register for your nearest class, simply click the “Register Now!” button below. You will be directed to our online bookings page. Click on the ‘Class’ option at the top of the page. Ensure class location is set to Albury, Woden, Queanbeyan or Wangaratta; and select ‘Mums ‘n’ Bubs’ as the class type. Select the day and time that suits from the available options.

Frequently asked questions

When can I start attending?

Classes are safe to start attending from six weeks postnatally following a caesarian or vaginal birth.

What do I need to bring?

Bring along a baby mat, pram & play toys.

Is there a cancellation policy?

At Flex Out Physiotherapy we understand people get busy, children can be
unpredictable and from time to time, emergencies come up and things change. If you cannot keep your group appointment, please call us as soon as possible so we can reschedule. We ask for eight hours notice for cancellations. This allows others on a waiting list to fill spots and keeps the groups running smoothly. A $10 cancellation fee for ‘fail to attend’ or reschedules made less than eight hours before the scheduled class time applies.

Are Flex Out Physiotherapy preferred providers to any private health funds?

Yes. Flex Out Physiotherapy are a preferred provider for both Medibank and BUPA which provides members with additional discounts and maximum rebates on services.
