What is the Healthy Diabetics Program?

Regular exercise and healthy eating are key components in helping you better manage your diabetes and improve your general health and wellbeing. The Healthy Diabetics Exercise and Education Program is funded entirely by Medicare and is available to all persons with type 2 diabetes, on referral from a GP. These group services are in addition to the five individual allied health services available to eligible clients who have a chronic or terminal condition (usually referred to as the Medicare EPC Program).
