Kevin graduated from the University of Sydney in 1995 and commenced his career as a physiotherapist for the Australian Defence Force (ADF) in the Australian Army. During this time Kevin was awarded an Australian Active Service Medal and became the highest ranking and most decorated physiotherapist in the ADF. The highlight of his career was as the chief physiotherapist in East Timor with INTERFET in 1999-2000.

After moving to Albury in 2001, Kevin joined Flex Out Physiotherapy and became the sole principal in 2002. During this time Kevin has successfully steered Flex Out Physiotherapy from a one-person vision, to a multi-clinic organisation with ten clinics across four states. Kevin’s philosophy of long consultation times, one-on-one interactions and a focus on ‘hands-on’ manual therapy techniques has been fundamentally important in the success of the business over the past 20+ years.

Kevin has worked with many Australian teams including Athletics Australia, Volleyball Australia, Rowing Australia and Triathlon Australia. He is also dry needling accredited and has a special interest in sports physiotherapy, occupational health physiotherapy and lower limb injuries.

Ben joined the Flex Out team in 2017 after graduating from the University of Canberra in 2016. In his first couple of years as a Physiotherapist, Ben has gained experience working with a wide variety of populations. He has spent the large majority of his time in private practice, where he has been exposed to areas such as sporting rehabilitation, osteo-arthritis management, chronic lower back pain management, pre/post-operative rehabilitation and falls prevention.

Ben represents the Belconnen Magpies in the local AFL Canberra competition, and has worked as a sports trainer for local sporting teams over the past 5 years. With his experiences being both a player and a clinician, Ben fully understands what is required to make a successful return to sport following an injury.

Ben has also done further professional training in areas of knee/hip osteoarthritis management, and has strong interests in lower back pain and shoulder injury management. He uses a combination of education, manual therapy, and targeted exercise prescription to empower his clients to reach their goals and make a full return to function.

Sarah graduated from the University of Sydney in 2006 and has worked in a variety of sports and musculoskeletal private practices around Australia. She has recently completed her Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy and is in the final stages of completing her Masters of Sports Physiotherapy. Sarah has experience across a wide range of sports including waterpolo, football, rugby, swimming, rowing and gymnastics. She has a keen interest in the diagnosis and management of hip, groin and lumbo-pelvic dysfunction, whether it be in the elite athlete or weekend warrior.

Sarah and her young family have recently relocated to Canberra and she is looking forward to getting involved in the sport and exercise community locally.

Tracy graduated from Curtin University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Since this time she has worked in private practice clinics in Darwin and Wollongong, before joining Flex Out Physiotherapy in 2016. Over this time, Tracy has built up a broad knowledge of musculoskeletal presentations and gained experience working with sporting communities including AFL, netball and tennis. Tracy also has a particular interest in Women’s Health including pelvic floor rehabilitation, management of incontinence along with ante and post-natal management. Tracy is trained in dry needling and clinical pilates, completing levels 1 and 2 with DMA. Outside of work Tracy has a running background and now competes in triathlons. Tracy has a specialist interest in treating runners, triathletes and sports specific injuries along with post-natal women who want to return to exercise and running.

Lindsay graduated in 2009 from Brock University in Canada with her Bachelor of Science (Health Sciences). In 2013 she completed her Masters of Physiotherapy degree at the University of Canberra. Mitchell graduated from Charles Sturt University’s Orange campus in 2014, then returned home to Canberra to commence working in both sporting and musculoskeletal fields. In his first year of practice, Mitchell was exposed to a wide variety of conditions and clients ranging from high levels athletes, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation clients, to non-active population.

Given Mitchell is a competitive and representative athlete himself, his special interests have been directed towards sporting injuries, in particular shoulder and lower limb injuries, as well as back pain. Mitchell utilises biomechanical correction, exercise prescription and various other evidence based practices to get athletes back to their sporting pursuits as quickly as possible. Outside of work Mitchell has played and worked in rugby union and many other sports, although is currently focused on his true love – basketball.

Victoria has a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and Masters of Physiotherapy. She started practicing as an Occupational Therapist in 2009 at The Canberra Hospital working in rehabilitation and acute care. In 2012 she started working in private practice physiotherapy specialising in upper limb injuries and women’s health.

As an Accredited Hand Therapist, Victoria has over 7 years experience in assessment and therapy of complex upper limb injuries to neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. She is skilled in casting, static and dynamic splinting, pain management, wound care, pre and post surgery rehabilitation, upper limb lymphoedema management, and scar treatment. In addition to her clinical role, Victoria is the ACT Australian Hand Therapy Association Divisional coordinator.

As a member of the Women’s Health Training Associates, Victoria is skilled in pelvic floor, incontinence, pelvic pain and pre and postnatal assessment. Treatment including pessary fitting, pelvic floor retraining, pelvic pain management, bladder retraining and mat work pilates.

Jodie graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2009 and has been a practicing Occupational Therapist since 2010. Jodie has been working with the Upper Limb for the entirety of her career, however commenced work in the Hand Therapy speciality in 2012 and has continued this passion since, working alongside Orthopaedic surgeons and General Practioners, both privately and publicly to achieve the best possible Hand and Upper Limb outcomes for her clients.

Her skills also include acute and rehabilitative care in tertiary hospitals and non-for-profit sectors with a focus on adult/paediatric orthopaedic and neurological upper limb rehabilitation. Jodie has recently relocated to Canberra from Brisbane with her family and is skilled in all aspects of assessment and treatment at the elbow, wrist, hand and fingers including wound care, casting, static and dynamic splinting, oedema and scar management.

Koryn has a wide area of experience working in rehabilitation hospitals, within the disability sector and most recently in private practice. She joins the team from sunny Brisbane relocating to Canberra with her young family. Koryn’s areas of interest include improving and preventing chronic disease such as diabetes and heart disease and working with chronic pain. Koryn enjoys seeing clients achieve their goals of improved function and returning to lifestyle activities. Koryn will be with us part time in both the Woden and Queanbeyan sites.
