Drue grew up in the Riverina, and after graduating Charles Sturt University in 2004 his work led him to work in a variety of settings including Sydney Children’s, Monash Children’s, Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service, Early Intervention Services, and private practice. Drue has worked in the University sector at Monash University and Charles Sturt University, as a clinical educator, lecturer and tutor.
In all of these settings, Drue has been privileged to work alongside caring professionals who are experts in their practice. These experiences have strengthened Drue’s passion about providing quality, compassionate, research informed and innovative occupational therapy services. Drue provides occupational therapy services to children and their families, young people, and adults who live with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay, Acquired Brain Injury, and Spina Bifida, and mental illness. Drue believes meaningful participation and learning occurs when there is harmony between meaning and effort. As a result, his therapy sessions are goal directed, interest led, fun and motivating, and just the right level of challenging! Drue is a proud father and is enjoying seeing his children grow up in the country and all it has to offer. Fatherhood has also highlighted to him the day-to-day challenges that are faced by many parents.
Drue appreciates that with the need to access health services, you have likely experienced additional worry, stress and strain. Drue is looking forward to working with the Flex Out team to help you achieve your goals.
